Our mission

Italian fare is rooted in its culture and history, each of its  20 regions offer a unique breadth of gastronomic diversity.  Breaking Bread offers curated, hands-on classes for locals and visitors alike specializing in traditional Roman cuisine.  In our kitchen, local ingredients, slow cooking and shared dining become a way of life.  

Through culinary experience we strive to:

  • support sustainable farming techniques by sourcing from regional and small family -owned farms
  •  preserve and pass on traditions that are at risk of dying out from the Italian exodus from country life
  •  spread local food knowledge and heritage
  •  foster a convivial dining experience to discuss Italian culture, food and language while meeting new and interesting people
